Overview

TIDA Table Talk, a Signature Program, is led by the Diversity & Inclusion Committee. Space is limited to 10 attorneys and 10 industry members of TIDA. This intimate gathering of leading trucking women will be a venue to discuss current cases and recent outcomes in a confidential setting. Participation is by invitation only.

TIDA Special Room Rate:  $329.00 per night plus taxes and a $35.00 resort fee per night.

TIDA has a room block at the hotel for a special room rate of $329.00 per night plus taxes and a $35.00 resort fee per night. The last day to receive the group rate is Wednesday, December 27, 2023.

Each attendee is responsible for making their own reservations. TIDA Industry members will be reimbursed for two nights room and tax at the group rate, arriving January 19, departing January 21.

The TIDA hotel room rate is available 2 days pre and 2 days post meeting, based off hotel availability. If you are arriving early or departing later and want to take advantage of the TIDA room rate, you will need to call the hotel directly to confirm availability.

Parking at Hotel: Overnight valet: $42.00/Daily valet: $20.00

The last day to receive the group rate is Wednesday, December 27, 2023.

 

Travel

You'll want to fly into one of the airports below:

  • Santa Ana Airport (SNA). This airport is approximately 7 miles from the hotel.
  • Long Beach Airport (LGB). This airport is approximately 14 miles from the hotel.
  • Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). The airport is approximately 50 miles from the hotel.
    • For those booking flights to/from LAX, TIDA has discounted black car transportation with Basel Alhasan. See information below on how to secure this transportation.

For industry members, the rate will be $250 from LAX to Balboa Bay Resort.
For attorney members, the rate will be $300 from LAX to Balboa Bay Resort.

For anyone who wants to book a black car, text Basel and let him know it’s for the TIDA conference at Balboa Bay Resort and state whether they are industry or attorney member.  Depending on arrival time at LAX, the ride to the hotel can take anywhere between 1-2 hours. The black cars are the only money-for-hire cars allowed to pick up directly from the terminals.
For everything else (taxi, Lyft, Uber, etc.), you have to take a shuttle to a designated area in order to take taxi/Lyft/Uber. To get back to LAX, it is recommend to hire a taxi/Uber/Lyft since they can do drop offs directly at the terminals.
