Committees

TIDA is comprised of multiple committees that carry out the work of the association. Getting involved provides you with an opportunity to give back to the industry, build your network of contacts, sharpen your leadership skills, raise your company’s profile, and maximize your membership investment. TIDA welcomes all members interested in volunteering their time and talent to help us fulfill our mission. 2025 committee sign-ups are closed, however you may submit your interest in joining a committee for 2026.

Awards committee

This committee is tasked with recognizing leaders in the industry, overseeing any endowments that are awarded, as well as shaping the public perception about truck drivers and the motor carrier industry. VIEW ROSTER

Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Access (IDEA) committee

This committee is responsible for emphasizing multiculturalism across many bounds, including but not limited to, race, age, gender, disability, religion, sexual orientation, culture, and nationality in an effort to reflect the current transportation industry and the community we serve. VIEW ROSTER

Judicial Fairness & Advocacy committee

This committee provides a forum to educate TIDA members and the transportation industry in general on the various states’ legal systems, laws, and venue specific issues that impact the defense of a motor carrier in various judicial forums in the United States. This committee is also responsible identification and formation of amicus briefs with in the industy and forming relationships with other similar organizations in order to share resources for the betterment of the trucking industry. Member Engagement & Communication

This committee is tasked with member recruitment and retention, including connecting with non-member to encourage them to join TIDA, evaluating member benefits, creating marketing materials, promoting TIDA’s activities and events, and supporting the organization at other industry events. This committee is also tasked with connecting with the young professional members of the association and providing them with resources to help develop emerging leaders into future TIDA leaders. Seminars & Education

This committee oversees TIDA’s educational events from in-person meetings to online webinars. There are four sub-committees assigned to specific areas: Advanced Seminar, Annual Seminar, Cargo Skills & Liability Skills Seminars, and Webinars. VIEW ROSTER
