February 2023Megan Early, Moseley Marcinak Law GroupI have been in Greenville, SC for almost 30 years. My parents live about 1 mile down the road from me and I wouldn’t have it any other way! I have a younger brother who lives in Charlotte, NC with his wife and daughter (she just turned 1). I met my husband, Philipp, on match.com and we have been married for 6 years. We have a 10 month old little boy, named Sunday. We joke that Sunday has more rights in this world then my husband or me as he has dual citizenship – Germany and America. We don’t have any pets but I see a puppy in our future. How long have you been a member of TIDA and why is it important to you to be a member? I have been a member of TIDA for just over 2 years. It is important for me to be a member because this organization not only provides a great network but the work the organization is doing to support the transportation industry is invaluable. If you could collaborate with anyone, who would it be? Why?I would love to collaborate with my great grandmother. She was one of the first black principals in Baton Rouge, LA and instrumental in integrating the schools in the area. She was unbelievably smart, well read, and well connected. To date, what has been the most memorable case you have been involved? Why?My first trial in my first year of practice with Rob. A wife sued her husband for hitting a deer while driving them home from church. The accident was crazy, because the deer was actually hit by another vehicle that sent the deer “flying” into their car. The wife alleged that the husband was negligent for not swerving and allowing the “flying” deer to land in the car. This was my first jury trial as first chair and I got a defense verdict! What advice would give to your 25-year old self?I would tell myself to chill. There is plenty of time to get things done. If you could be a condiment, what would you be, and why?Franks Red Hot because you can put it on EVERYTHING!! |
