TIDA MembershipTIDA offers a wide range of membership benefits including the Annual Seminar, Cargo and Skills Course Seminar, Advanced Seminar, committee representation for the trucking defense industry, complimentary webinars, networking events, job postings, state law summaries, an expert database, and much more! TIDA's membership year runs from January 1 to December 31. There is a 60-day grace period for renewals before a membership is deactivated or considered lapsed. Lapsed membership require payment of back dues. Members who have been lapsed for at least three years must reapply for membership. TIDA new member applicants applying within the months of July – October you will be subject to prorated dues. All new member applications are thoroughly reviewed by the TIDA Membership Compliance Committee. This process may take at least 5-10 business days, so plan accordingly if trying to register for an upcoming event as a member. Click here to apply for a TIDA MembershipAttorney MembershipAttorney membership is open to attorneys with a major portion of their current and active practice dedicated to trucking defense work. Attorney membership is also open to attorneys who dedicate a major portion of their current and active private practice to the defense of trucking workers’ compensation matters, and such attorneys will be designated by TIDA as workers’ compensation attorneys. A letter of recommendation from a current TIDA member in good standing must be uploaded with the application. You must also upload three reference forms complete with reference responses before you can submit your membership application. References are any individual employed by trucking or truck insurance companies for which you are currently handling cases in trucking defense work within the past year. If your application is not complete with a letter of recommendation and responses from all three of your references, there will be a significant delay in processing your membership application. IMPORTANT: It is recommended that your references forms be from a different companies. Do NOT use references from the same company. Membership fee: $525.00. Industry Individual MembershipIndustry individual membership is open to employees of a motor carrier, a third-party logistics company (3PL), an insurance company or a third-party administrator (TPA). Industry membership shall only be open to all persons regularly involved in claims management, risk management or other aspects of defending claims against the trucking industry. Membership fee: $195.00. Corporate Industry MembershipCorporate industry membership is available to a company or organization whose members all meet the criteria for individual industry membership as set forth above. An individual at a company or organization that does not meet the criteria for individual industry membership may not be included in the company industry membership, but shall instead be a vendor member. Membership fee: based on how many contacts you will have linked under your corporate membership. See below for the tiers.
Vendor MembershipVendor membership is open to any person employed by a vendor/consultant business that dedicates a substantial portion of its business to the provision of professional services to support the trucking industry. Applicants whose firm or themselves who “may” testify or perform expert duties against a trucking company are not eligible for membership. Membership fee: $525.00. Legal Assistant/Paralegal MembershipTo become a TIDA member as a legal assistant/paralegal, you must be employed by an existing TIDA attorney member. Please have the TIDA member in your firm/company sign the application where indicated. Membership fee: $145.00. Association MembershipAn association membership is a non-voting membership available to trucking and defense associations and organizations that defend similar claims as trucking companies, and do not qualify for any of the above membership types. These organizations must share similar interests in trucking defense. Annual dues for an association membership include up to 5 individuals.To qualify for an association membership, the association and all the individuals must not qualify for any of the other membership types.
